TOWNSEND CAPITAL LAUNCHES SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY SPECIALTY AFFILIATE PRESS RELEASE BALTIMORE, MD - "December 16, 2005 " - Townsend Capital, LLC announced the launch of a new, affiliated company that will specialize in the development of science and technology related projects with universities, university research parks, and healthcare systems. "This launch is the result of the rapid growth of this segment of Townsend Capital's overall business," said Dennis Townsend, Chairman of Townsend Capital. "The market was telling us that the science and technology segment, which has seen tremendous growth over the last several years, prefers to work with a business that is uniquely focused on this particular specialty." Wexford Science & Technology's university and research park projects include, among others, the University of Maryland, Baltimore, The University City Science Center (Philadelphia,) Illinois Institute of Technology, Old Dominion University and Hershey Medical Center. Jim Berens will lead Wexford Science & Technology, LLC as President. David Townsend will succeed Berens as President of Townsend Capital. "A dedicated business will be better equipped to handle the unique needs of this segment," Berens said. The two companies will be affiliated through joint projects and business ventures.
