Louis Kiang - Vice President

Louis Kiang brings to the Company over 17 years of commercial banking experience in loan originations and loan workouts. As Senior Vice President at Bank of America, Louis originated over $350 Million in commercial real estate loans and oversaw the foreclosure, management and disposition of $150 Million in foreclosed real estate. Louis first joined the Company in 2002 where he was involved in some of Townsend Capital’s largest transactions including the acquisition of the International Flavors & Fragrances building in mid-town Manhattan — a transaction that received national attention for its innovation. The ground breaking deal included a sale/partial leaseback, financing of commercial condominium units, credit tenant lease and CTL financing to create additional client value. Louis also helped develop and grow Townsend Capital’s life sciences research space business into a $300 Million business line that culminated with the creation and spinoff of Wexford Science & Technology as a separate company in 2005. Louis served as Vice President at Wexford from its creation to December 2007 when he rejoined the Company. While at Wexford, Louis was responsible for all aspects of a project from first responding to the RFQ/RFP and winning the opportunity to structuring and negotiating the transaction, assembling the development team, arranging financing and leasing the project.

Louis’ focus will be the Company’s efforts in Hawaii working with the State of Hawaii and the University of Hawaii to develop a new $200 Million state of the art comprehensive cancer care center, new development opportunities and TC Energy’s investment in Encelium Technologies.

Louis is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts in marketing and a Masters of Business Administration in finance. In addition, he was an adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins University’s Allen L. Berman Real Estate Institute Real Estate Graduate School.
